about halfway through my MYEs. Nothing exceptionally hard so far. Then again, have yet to take the papers for math, science and CHINESE.

Today (10 May 2013), I have Physics P1 and P2, of which I have not studied/practiced for. Time check: 1.12 am. Splendid.

Zoning out has been the norm as of late. Might be due to lack of sleep or simply lack of drive. Need to shift back into high gear and clear the rest of the MYEs.

Not by my strength, but by yours oh Lord.

I’ll be honest, I hardly did any studying today.

Woke up at 4pm, yes 4pm. Studied for a bit (only wrote out about 1 side of a piece of foolscap’s worth of notes). Kept zoning out. And well, for the rest of the day, operations have been on hold.

Nowhere close to being finished with Geography, haven’t even started on History. Oh man. NOT good.

Update: As of now it is 2 Days 8 Hours 27 Minutes to my first paper.

Cleared SS. Struggling to clear Geography (I’m still on the first chapter of the first textbook)

Nevertheless.

As the title suggests.

I wonder… Maybe it’s due to lack of sleep or the type of food I consume (that could perhaps be not enough to support me). Perhaps it’s time to rethink what I consume on a daily basis. How exactly? Visit a nutritionist perhaps.

Also, Mid Years are around the corner. 4 days. Make or Break. Should have already shifted into high gear by now but yet I’m still moving at snail’s pace. NOT good.

This morning (17/3), we dug deeper to learn more about WORSHIP from the Old Testament.

The goal of worship is: 1. To EXALT Him. 2. To ENCOUNTER Him.
But it has to be in that order, and not the other way around. Many times, we say, “God, You come and I’ll praise You.”
But really, it has to be “God, I’ll praise You and You come.”

We dug even deeper, and saw 3 things that Worship Is.

Worship is SACRIFICIAL (2 Samuel 24:24)
Our praise must precede our preference. We worship whether we like the song, the band or whether we feel like it or not. He is ALWAYS worthy of praise.

Worship is EXPRESSIVE (Psalms 84:2)
When we lift our hands to God, it is not a charismatic preference, but a spiritual principle. When we worship, our body respond to what is happening in our soul. Worship begins in our heart, but it doesn’t stay there.

Worship is POWERFUL (2 Chronicles 20:21-22)
Your praise is powerful! Your worship is a weapon! It has the power to tear down walls and obstacles (like Joshua in Jericho).

The devil tries to take away our praise, because he knows how damaging it would be to his work. He tries to give you a reason not to praise God. But we must never let the devil take away our praise/voice. We must learn to praise out of our own hearts, and not anchored on the song or the worship leader.

We desire to see a Worship Culture in TrinityYM.
We desire to be a community where God is welcomed, with our praise like a red carpet rolled out to welcome Him as an honoured guest.
TrinityYouths, let’s learn to praise Him at ALL times. Let’s desire TOGETHER to be a ministry known for our extravagant praise and worship!

Richard is one of the key persons behind The Breadline Group, a community service started in 1975. With no full-time staff & comprising totally of volunteers, they are a group formed to help the old & needy in Singapore - for example, those who are destitute, infirm, disabled, & unable to work. Volunteers as individuals or in groups visit their homes to provide them with money & basic necessities, & on their own accord also help out with things like household chores.

My heart goes out to such people & it always pains me to see beggars on the streets. Some peddle tissue packets, some busk. What’s more is that almost every one that I’ve come across are probably over the age of 60 or 70. Much can & should be done for them, & us who are blessed with more surely must do something to bless those who get by with less, regardless of appearance, age, gender, race, social status, religion…

When asked “What keeps you going?”, the very first line of Richard’s answer was simple, yet it struck a chord in my heart. He said, “Because you make a difference in someone’s life.”

All proceeds from the sale of Project Advent EP will be going directly to The Breadline Group. Having no full-time staff, they operate with minimal overheads, meaning that close to 100% of the money they raise goes directly to the families in need. This Christmas & beyond, it’s my prayer & hope that you would join me in this collective effort to do something for the needy right under our noses here in Singapore.

Just got back home from Yaan Meng’s house.

Watched The Hobbit today with some people from MUSIC and GEL. Had dinner at ION and then some of us went to YM’s house to chill. After having supper (Macs) in the TV room, we just sat around. Then I started playing Beautiful Saviour. An then came the impromptu worship session. The spirit came and led us as we started to worship. It’s just so amazing that we could worship so freely! Really reminded me that praise&worship sessions aren’t just on sundays! They can be on any other day and even at ANY time! Also was reminded that worship is a lifestyle. The decisions we make, our actions, words, and thoughts. God also impressed upon our hearts “Surrender” which was also something that he impressed upon the campers during YM Camp 2012. Really glad that we could as fellow believers could just come together and worship! (:
